Beavers on a Farm

The owners of a 60-acre horse farm were concerned about the rapid deforestation and flooding of the lower portion of their land from beaver activity.

Services:

• mapping the property and its historical land use

• developing educational diagrams about beaver-inhabited landscape ecology that the landowner could share with visitors

• projecting future land-use disturbance by beaver

• building a toolkit of strategies--including planting plan-- for the landowner to use for beaver damage prevention
